STOPPING PHISH:

There is really no good way to stop phish. We hope the perpetuators will realize soon that no one is responding to the attempted information stealing - and we hope they will stop sending phish.

Until the phish stops there is little we can do:

Individuals with email scanning software the enables the user to mark email from specific addresses as SPAM can automatically delete email from the undesired address.

Some email programs enable the user to manually enter email addresses that the user does not want to receive mail from.

An Internet Service Provider can offer assistance in blocking some email from specific email addresses or IPs. Contact your Internet Service Provider and enquire.

Important note: Phish originates from multiple fraudulent sources. This means you may be receiving phish from more than one email account. In order to stop all the phish email you must block each individual address. Additionally once you block all known addresses you may receive more phish later from yet another fraudulent email address.

! Although this can be frustrating, knowing how to deal with this type of crime within a community may lessen the chances of additional attacks! Criminals may not waste time on a crime smart community!

! Run an antivirus program on your computer systems regularly to ensure your computer is free of malicious viruses.
